EVENT #1
Chichester Fringe

Chichester Fringe is back! Hosting theatre, comedy, poetry and more. And this year there is over 70 artists involved, at 10 venues and spanning 50 shows. There really is something for everyone.

Great events such as Comedy on the Canal (yes, stand-up comedy on a moving canal boat) will span across two weeks from the 31st of May to the 15th of June. Find out more about the Chichester multi-arts event here!

Chichester Canal Family Fun Day

With half-term upon us, keeping the kids entertained must be a fun challenge. Chichester Canal makes that a bit easier. Hosting many themed events throughout the year.

This time it’s a family fun day. Perfect for families with young children, this drop-in session is a great way to get creative whilst learning about our canal. Info can be seen above!

Roman Week in Chichester

With our city’s rich history, Chichester is making the most of Roman week. There are many free and paid events taking place all over the city. Both the Novium and Fishbourne Roman Palace’s websites contain all the info but here’s a list of a few events to get involved with:

Priory Park Archaeological Dig

Each year, for two weeks, a small section of Priory Park turns into a mini excavation site. Having uncovered an area in the past of a historic Roman bath-house. Archaeologists have now confirmed that the Romans were enjoying hot-tub-esque baths.

The dig is a key feature of Roman Week, and is completely free to view in Priory Park. If you want to hear of the discoveries made over the week, there will be free talks next Saturday at 10AM, 12AM and 3PM. Find out more here!

Meadowfest

Chichester welcomes a new festival this week. For the very first year, it’s Meadowfest. Designed to bring people together with live music, fairground fun and local food vendors. It is taking place just off Oliver’s Meadow at Aldingbourne Social Club.

11AM - 8PM on Saturday the 1st of June, tickets are just £2.50 making it a great event for a group of family or friends. More info can be found here.
