EVENT #1
Saturday Flower Show & Sunday Plant Fair

A horticulturist’s heaven this weekend. Two plant-inspired events near Chichester. The more plants in the house = the better the house.

North Mundham are starting the weekend with their Flower Show. Taking place on Saturday at The Village Hall between 10AM-4PM. More info can be found here.

If you can’t make Saturday, Arundel Castle has you covered. Hosting a Spring Plant Fair to showcase the season’s best plants. Wonder why you can’t keep your plants alive? Quiz the experts this Sunday 10AM-5PM.

EVENT #2
The Falcons Are Back

Kudos to David & Janet Shaw from Chichester Peregrines

Few things on earth can reach speeds of 200mph. A select few cars, trains, Felix Baumgartner and the Peregrine Falcon. Fortunate for us, two falcons enjoy the summer months nesting in Chichester Cathedrals Turrets.

Next time you're stood in the centre of Chichester - look up… turn towards the Cathedral. You might just see the two of them, usually hunting or preparing for their next offspring.

Keen to see the falcons in person? Find out more about peregrine viewing days here (running from the 5th of June to 7th of July)

EVENT #3
Cricket With a View

Priory Park, Arundel Castle, Goodwood Estate. Curious what these three places have in common? They all feature picturesque cricket pitches. Watch Chichester Priory Park Cricket Club play their first friendly of the season at Goodwood Estate this Saturday.

Big game for Chichester City FC. As they take on top of the league Ramsgate. This Saturday 3PM at Oaklands Park.

Chi Weekly are always looking to feature new sports - let me know!

EVENT #4
Tasty Treats at Knead Bakery

The best smells in the world have to be lavender, petrol and fresh bread. Where to find the freshest of bread? Knead Bakery.

Since 2021, the family-run bakery has been supplying the Wittering people with the sweetest of treats. Daily-baked artisan bread alongside sweet and savoury pastries makes it easy to see why Knead Bakery is so highly reviewed.

Enjoy a visit to Knead Bakery alongside a seaside walk - what a combo (just look at that photo).

Five years have passed since the Vintage Market has visited Chichester’s streets. Expect to find the unexpected; Homeware, vinyl records, retro art, jewellery and clothing. This market is truly a bit of everything.

Speciality vendors will be there alongside start-up businesses. Making for some bustling Chichester streets. Happening this Sunday (21st) between 10AM-4PM on East and North Street.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Next week I will share where to find local bluebells - stay tuned.

Feedback is greatly appreciated.
