EVENT #1
Summer Street Party

Good things happen when Chichester Council collaborates with Chichester Business Improvement District (BID). Back by popular demand is the Summer Street Party. Unique local sellers alongside major brands make for an exciting display of stalls. Get involved with in-store giveaways, indulge in delicious street food and enjoy the sound of live music.

The young ones will be entertained with face painting, a carousel and a live reptile section! Happening next Sunday, 10AM - 4PM. Find out more here!

EVENT #2
Northlands Farm Festival

Glastonbury just saw the likes of Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper and Dua Lipa, but at Northlands Farm Festival the headliners are more furry. Alpacas, micro pigs and donkeys are just a few of the animals you can meet at the Chichester-based farm.

Spread across multiple days this summer, the festival begins this Saturday, on the 6th of July. There’s a licensed bar and tasty food. Activities such as paddle boarding, a scavenger hunt and a tractor ride make for a great day out with kids. More dates and info can be found here!

The 2024 Dragon Boat Race

Dragon boat racing. It sounds like one of the pastimes of the Viking age, and doesn’t look far off. It fosters teamwork and companionship, whilst promoting healthy competition. Spot many local businesses, schools and communities whilst they raise money for charity and go head to head to see who will be crowned 2024’s Dragon Boat Racing champion.

Parking is kindly available for free at Chichester High School. There will be pop-up food and refreshments available alongside the cafe at the canal basin. More info can be found here.

Halnaker Windmill Walk

A favourite of many Chichester residents is Halnaker Windmill. As you ascend through the tunnel of trees it’s easy to see why. And it only gets better, opening up to full 360 views of the sea and the South Downs. The windmill itself is a great spectacle, having been restored just two years ago after someone swung on the sails (I believe). A WW2 observation post can also be found at the peak clearing.

Picnic in the Park

Next Sunday is becoming a busy one in our city of Chichester. Dragon Boat racing, a street party and now a picnic in the park. Taking place in Priory Park from 12-3PM. Revelations are hosting a free event with inflatables, crafts, football, face painting and food! More info here.
